The following tours are provided by the trainees of our Tour Guide vocational training program, offering a unique insight on the city through the lenses of their own knowledge and experience of their own hometown. The trainees have gained a good experience in escorting clients on their own and they are in the process to get the Tourist Guide license.

- Learn for Life: Three hour walking tour
Project Tour verting around the initiatives of Learn for Life
Empowerment Project, in order to showcase the
achievements and constant effort from LfL to bring
a social impact in Varanasi marginalised communities.
This is a unique opportunity to get in touch with locals
and see a side of India that is usually not accessible to
tourists.

· Half Day Project Tour: We also offer the possibility to book half day activity which will merge the Sunrise Tour and the Project Tour together for a total of 5.5 to 6 hours tour. This is the perfect solution for those interested in our project, who don’t have much time in town, so that they can enjoy the wonders of the city and the river and, at the same time, get the chance to visit our project’s activities.
Summary:
6.00am-8.30am: 1h boat, 1.5h walk
8.30am-9.00am: breakfast at BBB Restaurant (not included in tour rate)
9am-12.00pm: 1h walk, 1h visit of project (Bakery, Tailoring atelier, cheese making workshop), 1h walk back towards BBB Restaurant.

The following tours are provided by our Tour guide vocational training program’s Trainers and these are knowledge-based immersive walking tours.
- Northern Bazaars & Hidden Alleys walk: Few tourists can find their way through the maze of markets and hidden alleys deep in the spidery lanes of the old city. This tour will lead you from the traditional business square and centre of the old city, where you will get to peep inside the shops and lives of people of the great nearby bazaars. From sari dealers to metalcraft, you will encounter the hustle and bustle of traditional neighbourhood life… some who have not left their streets for years! Duration 2.5 h.

- Southern Temples & Ponds walk: A walk through the mystical landscape of temples & ponds near Assi Ghat, the southern area of the sacred city, which takes its name from the sword of Durga that she dropped after slaying a demon. You will walk in the footsteps of 16th century Banaras poet and mystic Pandit Goswami Tulsidas, translator of the sacred Ramayana text. You will hear about the history and special culture of Varanasi while visiting various temples and sacred sites, such as a traditional wrestling ring. Duration 2.5h.
